Starting January 5, 2008, the police department will be adding
an additional patrol division to its current four divisions.
With this change, a realignment of beats for the entire city
was necessary. The number of NPDs has changed from 12 to 10;
however, the realignment will allow for better patrol and
response. We appreciate your patience as we update our website.

If you are
interested in riding along with a police officer, contact any of
the above patrol districts or divisions for information. You will
need to arrange the ride-in at least 72 hours in advance to facilitate
scheduling. You must be 16 years of age to ride-in and ride-ins
under 18 years of age shall be limited to the first watch.
