The CCPD Board adopted a policy in November 2005 to provide funding opportunities for community based organizations that are interested in collaborating and working towards the Crime Control and Prevention District's Mission.  Request for proposals (RFP) for these programs are normally released between March and May with a program start date following on October 1st.  Applications are reviewed by a committee, and funding for CCPD community based programs is voted on by the Board each year. 

In Fiscal Year 2011, five programs were funded through the CCPD Community Based Program Funds.  These programs include:

• Cassata High School
• New Day Services
• Recovery Resource Center
• SafeHaven of Tarrant County
• The Women’s Center of Tarrant County
