The CCPD Board adopted a policy in November 2005 to provide funding opportunities for community based organizations that are interested in collaborating and working towards the Crime Control and Prevention District's Mission.  Request for proposals (RFP) for these programs are normally released between March and May with a program start date following on October 1st.  Applications are reviewed by a committee, and funding for CCPD community based programs is voted on by the Board each year.

In Fiscal Year 2012, five programs were funded through the CCPD Community Based Program Funds.  These programs include:

    • Alliance for Children, Inc.
    • CASA of Tarrant County
    • Cassata High School
    • Lena Pope Home, Inc.
    • New Day Services for Children and Families
    • Santa Fe Youth Services
